Yes it was drive in/out price. Think there was around 30 odd dollars in labour alone.

Guess it all adds up, radiators, exhaust, etc etc etc

That must've included the engine, trans etc.

My Allison was attached to a duramax, i was going to buy it too and sell it over here.   The engine, trans and transfer was only $7500US, plus $1900 freight, add duty and fees etc it would've been about $11K, still cheap.

Moose,$1900 for shipping is a bit high, try ustoaus.com I got my engine and transmission for $ 450-00 plus duties and it took 6 weeks

Cheers,Joe

Wow, big difference.  I'm not getting it anymore, that was what i was offered.

I only got the Allison off it.

I'll keep that company in mind though for future reference.

On a side note, a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 just sold on Ebay tonight for under $29K.  Someone got a good deal, only converted to RHD in 2008.

You may find that it didn't sell, ebay charges more for ads with reserve so some sellers sell without it and then don't sell when it doesn't bring enough.

It had a reserve and the seller said it was less than the RHD conversion cost.  Reserve dissappeared around $24K, which is what i was quoted a few years ago for one.

Who has put another snorkel/air intake on the passenger side?  Would you have the part numbers of housing etc that i could get.

The cummins is going to need more air than is currently supplied, the Perkins is not getting enough as it is really, as has been mentioned in another thread and the mods to the shroud.

Looks like i'll keep going with the conversion.  I just flew to Brisbane and picked up a Ford RTV ute for real cheap, drove it back to Vic in 1 1/2 days, now to pack my gear and head norht again.

Thought i'd do a comparison on the steel 16inch split rims and the new alloys today.

I weighed the steel wheels fitted with 8.25 x 16 tyres first - 66kg each (they're for sale now too)

Then i weighed the 37 x 12.5 x 17 wheels fitted to the alloys - 52kg

It is surprising when you see the physical size difference.
