German 4x4 very stuck in mud Add Video

Botswana 2009 Kubu Island. Thomas Waas had been stuck for two days and was into his third day when this crew arrived. It took eight 4WDs to rescue his MAN campervan (three times the weight of a laden OKA - the video says 12 tonnes but their blog says 18 tonnes!).

All that effort and then they went straight ahead through the same bog again, into what??
They don't seem to have made any attempt to lighten the vehicle (motorbike's still there) or self-extraction. On a vehicle that size they surely had some commensurate recovery gear?
