The report goes as follows:
A friend called me yesterday saying that he thought I was in town, parked on the main drag, but getting closer noticed the OKA was not mine. So I assume it was a white OKA with busbody. My friend gave the rego/number plates (something with '123'), not the VIN number.
Welcome to Albany to you (if you are on the forum). You are welcome to visit us, and share a meal, right now Mulligatawny soup (hmmmm, not sure about the spelling though).

Was a nice surprise to catch up with Rick and Sue Whitworth in Oka 149 at Timber Creek, WA. Rick has made 149 into a very comfortable live in setup, great for travelling.
Got to meet Lobo Fraser and his wife Vicki at their property south of Darwin, Oka 350 looks like a good set with the multi cab option and sleeping quarters in a module behind the cab.
Passed and briefly spoke with Ray Croft in Oka 415 who was travelling north to Alice Springs for the Transport Hall of Fame show.
Thanks for the chat guys and letting me check out your vehicles.
Cheers Terry

That was one day after they spotted us at Oyster Stacks snorkelling on Ningaloo Reef. We spent a pleasant couple of hours chatting with them, while Oka 148 and Oka 149 were reunited. Both Oka's originated from the same tour company in Perth.

Dave who runs Sacred Earth Tours had a chat at the Karratha caravan park. He calls his vehicle Oka lite as he has stripped it down to the bare essentials to allow it to be rated below 4.5 tonnes and access all tracks. Runs a V8 and certainly sounded different to when I turn the key to start the Perkins.
Saw this Oka at Cathredal Gorge in the Bungles. We were with another couple so I did not have time to leave a message for them. Nice looking setup.
Third Oka (#373) was parked up at Mornington off the Gibb River Road. It is owned by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy and is used to transfer staff and visitors around at times. If anyone is planning to visit Mornington I would strongly recommend staying at Charnley River Station across the road, it has a great campground, easy travel to a fabulous swimming hole called Donkey Springs and three really different gorges that can all be visited in one day.
Final image is #195 parked up at Manning Gorge behind Mt. Barnett next to a "young' boab tree.
Cheers Peter and Sue

Went down to reef to find the owner but all we could find was this snorkeller inspecting all of the oyster stacks.
An hour later he emerged and it turned out to be David Ribbans
It was nice to meet David and Janet 'in the flesh'
After a dry and change of wet clothes we had a cuppa and chat about all things OKA

Peter and Sue, the Oka you saw at Cathedral Gorge was Tim and Lorraine in Oka 124.
We met them in Marla a few weeks ago.

3 permanent OKAs in town and always see the odd extra. I reckon Kalbarri would be the perfect location for a west coast get together at some stage. It was one of Hal's favourite spots.

I met the owner who fell in love with the vehicles and bought them from a person who was driving them in Sudan. They are XT's and look almost identical. It's OKA 209 and 250.
The owner invited us to stay at his guest house and I am currently trying to help with identifying some spare parts he will need.
Thank you and best regards

The two vehicles were discussed some tome ago on the forum. They are owned by a tour operator called "Flame of Africa".
