Somewhere between buckley's and bugger all.

Anyway the post on Al Dowlings Oka seems to have disappeared into the ether . There is a big gap in the PDF file in post 1 for this thread from Dec '11 to Jul '12.
When I get to a real computer I'll repost the photos

Sorry Pete, I got a bit confused as to who I was responding to. Facts are still valid though.

Hal, the old website has lost some of it's forum data, "Spotted an Oka" is only 1 page long, the rest is missing/hidden.

But if you use this access point it might show the original with the gap you mentioned.

If you can track down the missing info I can update the PDF.

There was also a "Spotted an Oka 2" topic which I must have missed. Here's a pdf version I just created.

Is this a members OKA. Looks like a good set up.

Looks like it has solar panels on top of the Pop Top. Maybe some type of cooler mounted on the front of the cab basket,

This Oka belongs to friends of mine, Rob & Shirl Burrows, who are members of the site. I am surprised to see it at Windjana Gorge at the moment as when I spoke to them about a week ago they were on the Murray in Victoria. The cooler you see on top of the roof rack may have something to do with the airconditioner as it is roof mounted. If this is not their rig, it must be a double, including the windmill on the side of the vehicle.

Did you see the vehicle at Windjana recently or is this an old photo? Paul.

No its a old picture I dragged of the net when doing research on the Gibb River Road. I am working around Derby and Broome this year, so Gibb River road will be playground, being 30 minutes down the road and Windjana only being a few hours away.

If they have a A/C on the roof then it maybe the condesor for it. Getting rid of the condensor from front of the radiator is a good idea. Thats why mine is mounted on the rack on the roof as well.

I think it is 007, but not too sure, was a plastic VIN tag, front strut tower looked a bit prototypeish. Parked on verge in Rossmoyne, owners at a party there I'm guessing.
Made an album in photo section

Note to self - buy a phone with a decent camera.

Not counting the bit that Julia takes $62000-00 for a well maintained truck ready to rumble is not bad, when you consider stuff selling around the mid forties in need of care...also just the fact that it have a siren makes it very appealing !!!

I have an ex FESA ute as a fire fighter on the farm and it has had all the wiring re-done with heat proof insulation and beefed up a bit.

Very handy when you set it on fire in a bushfire (and I have, several times)

I didn't spot these Oka's personally but came across them on a "" Most Dangerous Roads " website and followed the link.

The slick looking LT's are owned by Skippers Canyon Adventures in Queenstown in New Zealand's south island. They seem to have different wheels.

They run scenic and jetboat tours around Queenstown. There are several other Oka photos in their gallery and they also have a white XT.
