As Easter has gone and was hoping to get a lot done on the Oka no hope everything went down hill very quickly the front diff unis were incorrect ,had to wait 5 days to be able to get the correct ones the wheel bearings the same ,you would think people who do that sort of job would get it right , unis now on and had some trouble with the axel alighment in the stub axel it was jamming to the right and was unble to rotate the axel ,as it took a few tries still no better i checked the allighment shim and it was going in the same place it was off when i took it apart ,and it seemed to only go on one way untill looking closely and it can be reversed, and everything fitted perfect shaft spun and no jamming, so if you do remove the shims in the front end make sure you replace them the correct way ,some one before was not watching !

Boofhead, if the splines look OK I wouldn't worry too much about play in sliding section. Mine was a bit loose 8 years ago when we bought our Oka and it's still going well.
A new felt washer will tighten things up and make sure it's all well greased. (Put your finger over the hole in the yoke to ensure the grease goes down the shaft not out of the hole).
We also have a 120 amp Bosch alternator which works fine.

Hi David and Janet
Thank you for your advise and have given me confidence in not worrying to much , it was mentioned when i was thinking of selling it about year and a half ago when a fellow called into look at it.
Replacing Uni joints, I have relicensed it as motorhome caravan about month ago put roof reverse circle air con in the roof, kept the roof rack on to give it protection, has mivrowave, tv/dvd player, double bed at back section and left 4 seats in the back so can carry 6 people if need to.
Good stereo system in, just looking to buy a reasonable priced geni set with remote start so can shut off and start from inside. also looking to see what sort of fridge / freezer to put in not sure if normal type one or engel type one. have put a safe inside to lock valuables in..
Not trying to clutter it up with to many cubboards.
Have a fellow in Herne Hill that make stainless steel trailers and will design to your needs and style. just want one to carry motorbike shower and toilet with washing machine with beds that fold down from the side of trailer..
