While i've been fitting the auto trans to the Oka I came across a sticker from the mob that fitted the exhaust brake to the 374.
It was stuck to the actuator on the exhaust butterfly.
"Exhaust Brake Specialists Aust. " 1800 632 611 no other details.
A google search gives no company with that specific name so I guess if more info is required you can ring the number.

Its already fitted, was there when we bought 374 but has never worked, was marked as U/S by the RAAF when in service and never repaired. As Oka know nothing about it and reckon they never fitted it I'm presuming that the RAAF had it fitted.
Then I keep hearing rumours about Perkins Phasers bending valves when running exhaust brakes due to weak valve springs and the back pressure keeping the valves open so I'm reluctant to use it in case of engine damage.
I've actually got it all operational (it is operated by compressed air and had a blockage in the valve) but as I said am wary of using it.

G,day Peter, if you are fitting an auto it wont work that well anyway! most autos will unlock the torque convertor will unlock when the go pedal is at zero.

The auto has the smarts and I can lock the torque converter in any gear right down till it stalls if one forgets to disengage it.

It is a 4L80E with a Compushift controlling it. The Compushift has also been modded from standard to allow the torque converter to be manually locked with an additional switch to either manually or automatically lock it.
