And with all the recent discussions of engine upgrades, I would say that the engine choice is the right one for this heavier vehicle. Do you plan to have this with a automatic gearbox?
How heavy is the cab chassis anyway?

Brett, this is the procedure but if you are still having difficulties, we can help out.
To insert a photo into a post, use the "Attachments" area beneath the message box. Click on "Add File" and then select the photo from your computer, then click Choose.
When you've done that, click in a spot in your message where you want the photo to go and then click "Insert" next to the file name.
You'll see some text like [img.filename.jpg/img] appear at the spot where the photo will appear. You can add as many photos as you like, just follow the same procedure for each one.
When you press "Submit", the photo(s) will be uploaded along with your message.
Photos will be automatically resized to fit the screen so the size of the photo files doesn't really matter but smaller files will upload faster.
Hope that helps.

Maybe i missed it, but:
- what donk are you putting in it? You're surely not going to expect the old Perk to haul 6 wheels are you?
- What's the overall length extension to the chassis with this mod?
- How do you select between drives? the other rear output is rear of the front output, does the front only engage in low range now?
- What's the increase in GVM?
Cheers, Alister

tyres; with the correct tyre hight, width & rim spacing the tyres don't scuff out.
donk; at the moment the perk is doing the job ok, easier than a trailer. 6bt in the plan.
length; 1200mm to 1600mm max.
drive; the drive system is a Brett special, the secrete stays with me.

the object of the exersize is to share the load, not increase it.

Did you consider a load sharing option for the springs, Brett? Tricky, but individually sprung axles are given a marginal GVM increase compared to load sharing. I know you said you wanted to share the load not increase it but if you are going to market this as an upgrade then it is worth noting.
My vote is for a weekend at your place in September, even if I do end up with a severe dose of shed envy from it....
Cheers, Tony

The OKA suspension works too good to mess with it;
Load share gives a few extra KG but creates more break points.
load share for 8 wheel steer axles.
if I have to do load share, I will connect 4 air bags together.
It will carry more weight, but share the load is the objective on a
perfectly good suspension set up.
