Western OKA gathering 7 th SEPT

That's a pity. I was hoping they had gotten a bit more rain down that way. Crops out the back of Morowa and Perenjori were going OK. We where up the northern end of Lake Monger 2 weeks ago and it had gotten some from that mid level stuff that come through mid June. Camel Soak was full. Rothsay through to Warriedar had had heavy runnoff

Can find out how Coalseam is looking but it's starting to get further away for just a weekend trip.

Only other thing I can think of within a few hours of Perth is the Western Flora Park near Eneabba and a guided tour with Alan Tinker

Hi Guys, just checking the latest thinking for a weekend in September.

We've been absent for the past couple of weeks travelling west from Yulara and are now in Meekatharra.

It's been an interesting trip so far with the highlight(?) getting bogged on the Hunt Oil Road. See our blog for details.

We are now heading out to the west coast and then slowly making our way down towards Perth, so a gathering on the 7/8th September would fit it well. It's also my birthday weekend if another excuse is needed.

Unfortunately I can't make it on that weekend, hmmm I have to work, unless the meeting place is close to Albany.

PS I know how it feels with calf muscles: I am on crutches at the moment with the same: caused by pulling and pushing a 200 kg workbench up a ramp into the back of a truck

8 KM west of Harrismith on the Wickepin road.
Between Baker rd & Tincurrin north rd

on the main tar sealed road, 400 meters west of Baker rd [ gravel]

Currently at Hamelin Pool, weather perfect, warm, calm, wall to wall sunshine, but beverage supplies running low.

OK here's me being a pain. Being election weekend precludes #260 (I've been told, and despite it being my birthday on the Saturday too, and our wedding anniversary on the Sunday, apparently assisting with the election has a higher priority); and I know it also precludes #80 (election) and #428 (time off) from attending.

But if you can change it to the following weekend 14/15, #260 and #80 can be there; don't know about #428 (Hank).

Dandj #148 can do the second weekend but would rather do the first. I've been told a few times in my life it's not all about me, so I'll just put it out there - but if there are people who can't make the second weekend and can do the first, please say so. I've been to a few of these and will catch up to David & Janet separately for a birthday cuppity, so I'm not stressed.

Hi all, as Hal says we would prefer the 7/8th as we said we would try and get home by mid September.

Yes, I'd like to catch up with Hal and one or 2 others in Perth, so we could perhaps fit them in separately, if that doesn't sound too clinical.

Heading out to Steep Point today which should be fun.

I going to field days just down the road on the thursday the 5th, you are only 1-1/2 hours away from there. Will not have passengers might call in as I am chasing Wild Flower photos. Doing Daily Wild Flower tours in Esperance from August 21st till mid October leaving Melbourne this Saturday, back to Melbourne for 5 months of the cruise ship tours after Esperance season.

Well done to Liza Harvey for becoming the new WA tourism minister now not the police and road safety minister. Must be easier for Hal, does not have to be such a Good boy now Well done Liza and a much better portfolio I would think.
