Wiper motor

I need to get a wiper motor for an LT, I cannot find any numbers on the old one and have searched within the forum to no luck so does anyone know a model, part number or another vehicle that may have the same so I have at least an starting point to find one

Martyn, it might not help much but I got some replacement splined cones for my XT wipers from a truck dismantlers in Adelaide. I think they came from an International truck. Maybe wreckers would have motors too (might be 24v though).

Worth an email with a photo to sales @ citytruckdismantlers.com.au, (remove spaces)?

Also Flexible Drive sell wiper systems. See if you can identify one from their catalog or from the TruvIsion catalog .

Perhaps some options.

They are very similar to old holdens/fords so that maybe an option.

I pulled mine apart and refurb it. The magnet had fallen off.... So re-glued it.

Hello to OKA owners in Australia and the rest of the world,

my OKA wiper motor is broken. More precisely, the plastic worm wheel of the worm gear is broken. Does anyone know, were I can get replacement or what alternatives are available to get ready for the next rainy season?

It looks very similar to the local Holden/Falcon/Valiant wiper motors of that era. I'll make some enquiries and see if we can find out what it is off.
There a few on ebay au but without checking the measurements its a bit hard to tell.

thanks for your reply and offer to do some research. I did find on the internet the website of the potential wiper motor manufacturer in Melbourne ( www.preslitedrivetechnologies.com.au/ ).
However, I did not get a reply via their contact form and when I did try to call them via Skype I get a message that the number is incorrect.

I called a company across the road from Preslite and they told me that Preslite went out of business two years ago. So, this is a dead end and I am not sure how I can find a replacement. At this stage, I am happy if I could find a motor, which would fit into the space of the old motor. Then I can make a plan to connect it. Any ideas out there how to solve the problem - please let me know.

rebuilding would be ok. However, the plastic worm wheel of the worm gear is broken, which is very specific to that type of wiper motor. I do not know where I could find a new gear.

I am sorry this is not very helpful but I replaced my motor with a new one that only required a small modification to the arm.
For some reason can not find the info right now. Will look when I get home.

H series HZ series Holden, although the HQ has the windscreen washer pump attached so it wouldn't be any good, apparently there were thousands of the Holdens exported to and sold in Africa as well so you might be able to find one at the wreckers.

I am currently in Germany trying to find a similar and fitting wiper motor. Therefore please let me know the details of the replacement you installed. That might be very helpful as that unit is obviously fitting. Do you have an OKA XT or LT, I am asking because I do not know if there is a difference in the wiper motor installation.

do you know, if the wiper engine for the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holden_HZ would fit? Or is it not fitting because of the washer pump?

You can just take off plate/pump and put the one back from old wiper motor

Thought that might be the case so a HQ one would fit too.
