#210 has the standard roof rack we want to put another single bar across the front of the cab to be able to mount a larger awning along both sides. We can see where bolt holes appear to have been bogged over, can we asume that if we clean these out we can then just bolt on another braket the same as the original roof bars.

12mm metric. Probably need a tap to clean the rust out. If yours has the sun visor, those holes are also used if you need two bars
Bit hard to see but Rasa and Min's OKA - the last one in line, has a rack over the cab with extended brackets to make it level with the bus body top. Harry & Jenny's (second last) is similar while mine has two DIY bars that follow the roof angle

There are two M12 captive nuts at each roof rack anchor point. If you have DRILLED? Through at these points and found nothing then the captive nut has come adrift.
It the metal around seems OK, don't drill through into the cab, just find somebody who can fit new captive nuts for you. This is really a 2 minute job for someone with the right equipment e.g. Panel beaters etc.
