G'day Folks.
I joined a while ago, but forgot to call in at the Mat. Better late than never. I've found this site to be a great resource so far and my journey on the knowledge trail is just beginning.
I've got an interest in Okas with a plan to buy one and use it to operate tours in SE Oz. Still getting my head around XTs, Lts, pros and cons and building knowledge on what to look for when vetting a prospective buy. Still saving a few bob to make the purchase too
Based in Canberra, so the mountains and coast are close by, and the plains not far to the west.
Can I admit to be a Hilux extra cab owner at the moment? Try not to judge me too harshly on that
Not as roomy as an Oka when sleeping in the back under canopy, but it is nice to be able to pull over at night anywhere and have a soft bed.
Looking forward to getting to know you good people in the near future.
Kind regards
Nick

G'day Greg.
Thank you for the welcome and invitation. Will definitely take up your kind offer. I would have liked to get along to the Gathering, but my wife had to work over that period. Next gathering, we'll be there
hopefully in an Oka fingers crossed
Thanks again for the welcome, greatly appreciated.
Cheers

There is an Oka that lives in Canberra and he posts on the forum occasionally.

Hi Peter and Sandra.
That's good to know, thank you. I'll keep an eye out. There was an Oka, 380 I think for sale a year ago in Canberra. I occasionally see it parked. When I next see it I'll snap a photo and put it on the seen and Oka section.
Have a great day.
Nick

Hi Nick
079 is in Canberra - well lots of pieces that make up 079 are here in various states of reassembly.
If you're interested in kicking the tyres send me a PM and we can arrange something.
