Hi everyone,
Aspiring OKA owner on the South Coast NSW (Gerringong), not looking to convert, but to maintain an OKA as tour vehicle (at least for the next few years) and move the workplace from in front of a screen to the great outdoors. Most of my questions early on relate to considerations/ tips in what to look for when buying a vehicle? Although they seem pretty well rebuild-able from any state of disrepair, are there any red flags to be aware of when checking one out?
Any pointers towards running one as a commercial vehicle in NSW would also be greatly appreciated (although the forum seems more tailored to some pretty incredible overland camper conversions).
Otherwise just a general g'day and an appreciative thanks to the posts and reading I have already been able to do. Seems to be a pretty awesome community to hopefully be part of soon.
Best
Adam

Welcome Adam, this place is a good base of general knowledge with privare owners and some commercial operators, just ask away and someone will be able to help ,OKAs are very rebuildable and usually prices reflect the conditions, enjoy the site!

Even if you don't have an Oka you are welcome to attend, usually have to be self sufficient as we usually camp out away from supplies.

Hi Adam,
I am or was a tour operator until 2 years ago, registered for tours in both WA and Vic.
Have ceased operations for tours, and I still have a complete OKA LT bus, and various tools of the trade needed for outback tours, presently located at my factory in Mornington Victoria.
Information you need for your state is available on this website www.bmbc.com.au
Give me a phone call on 0427536674 and we can discuss further, any information or options that you might require.
Otherwise send me your own email via private messages and I can send you details on bus etc.
Regards
