I see that OKA #260 now gets a cameo in the Ifish jingle clip. Certainly the first time I have noticed it. Guessing it's old footage though as number plate is I FISH.

Cheers, Tony

Not an Oka, but I did meet a bloke today (Graham Brack, if anyone remembers him), who said he worked as a welder/mechanic on all 448 Oka's built (his number).

He certainly knew his way around ours.

Now lives in Mandurah and just bought a Winnebago.

Hello David, Graham Brack of Weld-You-Up Fabrications. He made our main roof rack and ladder in the 90's after we bought #80. A very good welder! David if you are around Bedfordale at all how about calling in for a coffee. Cheers Richard

I was told an OKA was in for repairs in Winnellie 4x4 last week. Apparently the No plate started with OKA... Does any one know who it is?

Tuesday after the gathering I was east of Hyden & saw DANDJCR at Holland Track.
David had retreated because it was too wet. Wise move as apparently there is same 4x4's stuck up the track for several days.

Friday as I was leaving Esperance I spotted ABE & said G,day.

We met Chris and Shirley James at Cocklebiddy last Wednesday.

We had just arrived off the Connie Sue Highway and they were returning to QLD in Oka 096 pulling their caravan after 8 years working in WA. We had a very nice chat with them about air filters and intercoolers etc. and took a few photos. Shirley asked me not to mention her orange socks, so I won't.

Next day they were spotted again descending Madura Pass.

And again, whale watching at the Head of the Bight. Apparently Shirley has now lost one of her orange socks.

Sorry for the qaulity of pictures.

Cant remember VIN, I couldnt see it, but this one has been around Derby all its life. There are other pictures on the site when it was a tourist vehicle.

This is the ultimate OKA configuration I think.

Waited around to chat to the owner, he never showed. I women came back, I tried to talk to her, she wasnt intrested. So left.

I spotted a Khaki coloured Oka in Morley the other night. It had a WA number plate beginning with AL. I was wondering if anyone knew if it is on the forum!

On the way home from the inaugural Western Desert Racers Three Springs 330 Off Road Race we stopped late last night to check out an Oka Double Cab with tray For Sale on the side of the road in Watheroo. Looks like Oka 405. Is it a member?

Richard, a quick check of our list suggests 405's owner is not a current member.

Thanks David, I thought some of the members might be interested as there seems to be a few looking for a Double Cab. How was your trip on the Connie Sue ? Did you call in to the breakaway on the East side just south of Neale Junction ? When I was there in October 2002 there was salt water trickling out of the cliff face leaving a salt formation on the surface! A very big Perenti Lizard was guarding the enterance of the valley!
