There is a twincab with a fith wheeler attached for sale in a yard at Beaudesert.
Looks like new. Think number plate was OCKER. Saw it in passing last night.

Hi Frank, your mum is nearly right, numberplate is "OKA 428".
I was there yesterday, after a few days in Fitzgerald national park. I love Hopetoun and surrounding area! People are very friendly and coffee/cake in the hardware cafe was great (as was the service).

Like Frank (and his mum in Hopetoun), this is happening often: friends and acquaintances mention to us when they have seen an OKA.

A friend of mine (Paul driving a Patrol with campertrailer) spotted 1-2 weeks ago
at the Geraldton Bore an OKA towing a tandem trailer. Anyone on this forum?

Hmmmm, one cannot hide in an OKA (or in a Pinzgauer for that matter) and I don't think to paint it in a camouflage colour has a lot of benefit (to get unnoticed).

Pete, did you had a chance to look at the 6wd set up,is it a double tail shaft from the transfer to both rear diffs or a single to the first rear diff and a intermediate fron the first rear diff to the rear rear diff.....It may be easier to rebuild the OKA I think it will be at least 25 years before the Mercs are available to the public.
Cheers,Joe

Joe it went from the front diff to the back diff, some weird tailshaft/uni angles too. Looked a bit delicate to me.
I couldn't work out what the black things on the guards were either, something to do with the air transportable side of things I suspect.
Wasn't thinking of it replacing the Oka, meant the RAAF replaced our Oka and other light trucks with these as 374 was RAAF.
GVM of 6.5 tonne too. Alloy wheels powdercoated black, appeared to have a/c too.

Driving north along Melbourne's western ring road on tuesday in 303, I caught up to a nice white XT Multicab, with very "Blingy" wheeles. A wave & nod exchanged, I kept rolling along in the traffic. Anyone on here i wonder?

I was up in Canning Vale Perth on Thursday and spotted an olive green duel cab with two Crome stacks up the back of the cab, it also had alloys, wasn't close enough to get more info. I think it was olive green.
Tried to get a photo but it was too far away and the OKA got away from me in traffic.

A mate spotted this one on Kwinana Freeway, south side of Perth, recently. I don't know it but you couldn't miss it with those prime mover stacks. Looks to be in very good shape.
